This all-natural wool and linen dish drying mat is eco-friendly and looks lovely on any kitchen counter.  The wool drying mat is handcrafted in Sonoma County, California using all-natural, sustainable and biodegradable fibres.  The wool comes from multi-generational, family-owned ranches throughout the US, mainly California and Oregon.   No chemicals or synthetics are used at any point in the process.   Wool is breathable, ultra-absorbent, and resists mould and mildew - so say good bye to smelly dish mats!

The linen sleeve is proudly and lovingly handmade in Canada by our expert sewers using Oeko-Tex Certified European linen.  Did you know? Linen is sustainable, hypo-allergenic and anti-septic.  It’s also thirty times stronger and forty times more absorbent than cotton - and it dries faster.  The natural silica in the flax fibre protects linen from rotting - so no musty, mildewy smells to deal with.  It’s also anti-moth, so linen items make for great heirlooms!

  • Wool Mat measures 16" x 20" x 3/8”
  • Linen Sleeve measures  22.2” x 16.9”

Care:  The wool dish drying mat needs to fully dry between uses, which will naturally occur when kept on the counter. If it is heavily used to the point of saturation, just hang to dry between uses. If needed, your mat may be spot cleaned with a mild soap in tepid water. If you must wash the full mat, wash by hand with a biodegradable soap.  Dry flat. Do not machine wash.   The linen sleeve can be machine washed and hung to dry to keep it lovely as long as possible.  If you forget and put it in the dryer, not to worry, we made sure it would still fit the mat!

* Note:  Wool is naturally mould and mildew resistant.  This is because of its unique molecular structure allowing air to pass through its fibres.  However, if it remains saturated for any length of time, wool, just like any material, may get mouldy.  The Dish Drying Mat is designed to sit on your counter without the need to remove it between uses.  If, however, you are in a large family/household, or live in a damp climate, and find that the Dish Drying Mat is regularly saturated, we recommend hanging it after use to give it time to dry out.
